The Exchange Club of East Dallas exists to support the educational needs of 7000-plus public school children in East Dallas - many of whom will be the first in their families to earn a high school diploma. Since 1948 we have been in the “opportunity business”, and if a job needs doing in the public schools, we do it:

  • Winter coats and/or uniforms for students who need them
  • Reading books and book fairs for all who desire them
  • Commitment to provide free eye exams and free eyeglasses

“Big projects” annually. In honor of Drew Pearson, this years proceeds will fund the renovation of the Boys’ and Girls’ Locker Rooms at J.L. Long Middle School

15-20 need-based college scholarships annually to graduates of Woodrow Wilson High School. This year, 5 scholarships are being awarded in honor of Drew Pearson and his family.

And MANY more educational initiatives!

The POWER OF 50 logo describes who we are and what we do. Our 50 members band together to multiply efforts, relationship, and resources to improve educational outcomes for public school children in East Dallas, exemplifying our motto “UNITY FOR SERVICE.”
