ABOUT US

ABOUT US

We are a civic club (50 active members) helping public school kids in need since August 14, 1948.

We serve our kids through a wide variety of programs, including Coats for Kids, Books for Kids and many others, including programs that increase literacy and prevent child abuse.

WHAT WE DO

Hours of dedicated service to our kids.

We work with our school administrators to identify the needs of the kids and implement needed programs.

Members are certified by the Essilor Vision Foundation to administer vision screenings and fit students for glasses.

We have devised an application, interview and renewal process for our Scholarship Program that verifies parental income, student grades and requires a minimum 2.5 GPA for renewal of a scholarship. Every applicant is personally interviewed by our Scholarship Committee.

The Dallas Junior Golf Championship is staffed by our members.

COVENANT OF SERVICE

(Adopted as the philosophy which characterizes an Exchangite)

Accepting the divine privilege of single and collective responsibility as life’s noblest gift, I covenant with my fellow Exchangites:

To consecrate my best energies to the uplifting of Social, Religious, Political and Business ideals;

To discharge the debt I owe to those of high and low estate who have served and sacrificed that the heritage of American citizenship might be mine;

To honor and respect law, to serve my fellowmen, and to uphold the ideals and institutions of my Country;

To implant the life-giving, society-building spirit of Service and Comradeship in my social and business relationships;

To serve in Unity with those seeking better conditions, better understandings, and greater opportunities for all.
